Like the first and the second phase, registration for the third phase of vaccine would be done through the cowin.gov.in website and also through the Aarogya Setu mobile app. However, as the  registration was set to begin at 4 PM on Wednesday, April 28th, the Cowin portal started crashing minutes before registration opened. The government website is no doubt seeing a massive surge in traffic as people over the age of 18 are allowed to register for the Covid vaccination.

With the website facing server issues, people are unable to login and book a slot for Covid vaccination. Many are also facing delays in receiving the OTP to successfully log into the Cowin website. All citizens above the age of 18 years can register themselves for getting Covid-19 vaccine jabs starting 4 pm today as the government gears up to launch the third phase of vaccination drive from 1 May. Under the third phase of the national vaccination drive, the vaccine manufacturers would supply 50 per cent of their monthly Central Drugs Laboratory (CDL) released doses to the central government.
