In a major breakthrough, the Delhi Police Crime Branch arrested a 23-year-old Naxalite, wanted in multiple cases in Jharkhand, while she was living under a false identity in the national capital. The accused, identified as "R," had been involved in three encounters with the Jharkhand Police between 2018 and 2020 and had undergone five years of rigorous training as part of Naxalite operations.
Originally hailing from West Singhbhum, Jharkhand, "R" had been residing in Delhi’s Pitampura locality since 2020, evading law enforcement agencies. Her arrest was the result of a well-coordinated operation conducted by the Crime Branch, acting on secret intelligence inputs.
Following her capture, "R" has been booked under Section 41.1 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973, read with Section 35(1)(C) of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023. She is currently being presented before the court for further legal proceedings.
