Delhi Traffic Update: Police Issues Advisory for Hanuman Jayanti 2025 on April 12 – Check Routes and Diversions

Delhi Traffic Update: The Delhi Traffic Police has issued an advisory for April 12 due to Hanuman Jayanti 2025 celebrations. A large number of devotees are expected to visit Hanuman Mandir in Jamuna Bazar, and several processions will take place throughout the day. Traffic movement will be regulated from 7 a.m. onwards. Key stretches like SPM Marg and Ring Road near ISBT Kashmiri Gate are likely to be affected. Traffic diversions will be in effect at Old Iron Bridge, Under Monkey Bridge on Ring Road, Chhatta Rail Chowk, and GPO Chowk.

Traffic Restrictions:

Traffic restrictions may be imposed on the following roads and surrounding areas from 7 a.m. onward based on the requirement:

  • SPM Marg from Hanuman Mandir to Chhatta Rail Chowk

  • Ring Road from Shanti Van Chowk to ISBT Kashmiri Gate

  • Outer Ring Road near Salimgarh Bypass

  • Netaji Subhash Marg

Instructions for Commuters:

  • Avoid SPM Marg, Ring Road, Outer Ring Road, and Netaji Subhash Marg during the advisory period.

  • Travelers going to Old Delhi Railway Station, ISBT, Red Fort, Chandni Chowk, and Tis Hazari Courts should leave early to avoid delays.

  • Use public transport to help ease congestion.

  • Park vehicles only in designated parking lots and avoid roadside parking.

  • Report any suspicious activity or unidentified objects to the police immediately.
