Delhi Weather Update: Temperature Drops to 32 degree C, But Heatwave to Return Soon

Delhikars will experience a short relief from the scorching heat as the temperature saw a sharp drop to a maximum of 32 degree by Friday. This temperature dip is just for time being.  The India Meteorological Department (IMD) predicts a rise in temperatures in the coming week.  

Reason Behind Sudden Drop in Temperature?
 
The fluctuation in Delhi's temperature is attributed to a difference in air pressure between two regions Amritsar (west) and Gorakhpur (east). A 10-gradient point pressure difference between these areas triggered strong winds across Delhi, leading to a drop in temperature.  

How Long Will This Last?

The temperature drop has impacted both daytime and nighttime temperatures. On Saturday, the minimum temperature was recorded 3 to 5 degrees below normal. Wind speeds reached up to 45 km/h in some areas.  

While strong winds will persist on Sunday, their intensity is expected to gradually decrease. Once wind speeds drop, the heatwave is likely to return. This means that from the beginning of April, Delhi may once again experience scorching heat.
