New Delhi, Nov 9 The minimum temperature in Delhi dipped to 13 degrees Celsius as residents of the national capital woke up to a misty Tuesday morning, according to the India Meteorological Department (IMD).

The IMD said the day's maximum temperature will settle at 28 degrees Celsius, while the relative humidity recorded at 8.30 a.m. was 85 per cent.

Monday's minimum temerature was 14 degrees Celsius and maximum was 29 degrees.

Both the minimum and maximum temperatures will dip further this week to 10 degrees Celsius and 28 degrees Celsius, respectively, said the IMD.

Meanwhile, the city's overall Air Quality Index (AQI) at 9 a.m. was 381 (very poor), according to the System of Air Quality and Weather Forecasting And Research (SAFAR).

The level of PM 2.5 and PM 10 pollutants in the air has been recorded at 66 and 122, respectively.

The IMD said that the air quality in Delhi-NCR is likely to fluctuate between 'severe' and the higher end of the 'very poor' category in the coming days with winds expected to be northwesterly for the next five days which may possibly lead to the high contribution of stubble burning.

The Air Quality Early Warning System for Delhi has forecast that due to change in the wind speed from the northwest directions of the national capital, the city will have a partly cloudy sky and mist on Tuesday; partly cloudy sky and shallow fog on Wednesday; and mainly clear sky on Thursday.
