Mumbai, 14th April: Yuva Unstoppable, one of India's leading CSR implementers, proudly launched its 7001st school in Khar's slum area in Mumbai. The inauguration of the newly transformed—Anuyog Vidyalaya—was graced by Dia Mirza, actress and environmentalist; Irfan Pathan, legendary cricketer and Yuva Unstoppable Ambassador; and Amitabh Shah, Viksit Bharat Ambassador and Chief Inspiration Officer at Yuva Unstoppable. Their inspiring presence uplifted the spirit of the event, and motivated the communities to see education as a tool for possibility, pride, and change.
Driven by the belief that education and children are the cornerstone of building equitable resilient communities, Yuva Unstoppable, till date, has transformed more than 7000 schools across 25 states, positively impacting more than 7 million rightholders.
The celebrations for the 7001st school began on a vibrant cultural note, with students welcoming guests in traditional style. The Yuva Unstoppable team, then, highlighted key interventions that define their mission of transforming government schools into future-ready, sustainable learning environments. Anuyog Vidyalaya now features sparkling toilets and access to clean drinking water for a healthier and more hygienic setting; smart classrooms that bridge digital divide and make learning fun; STEM labs that ignite curiosity; solar panels for clean, renewable energy; and well-built sports facilities.
The most powerful moment of the day was the heartfelt interaction with students and Yuva Scholars—many of whom come from challenging backgrounds, with parents working as domestic helpers, auto and taxi drivers, or daily wage earners. They also shared their joy and pride, which came from their newly transformed school.
In this context, Riya, a 9th-grade student, said - “We had never heard of Smart classrooms and STEM labs earlier. Now we love to come to school and learn in audio-video format along with Science 3D models in the STEM lab. Having access to new sports equipment has made our school days more joyful. Now my school has become a modern school, and I feel proud to share it with friends and family”
During the session, Irfan Pathan shared some of his memorable off-field moments to encourage the students for dreaming big and staying grounded. His remark — “Tough times? Hit ’em for a six. Never give up!” — was met with loud, enthusiastic applause from both the students and the audience.
The event concluded with Dia Mirza expressing her gratitude and suggesting the idea of kitchen gardens in schools to help children grow with nature and support their mental well-being. She praised Amitabh Shah and Yuva Unstoppable for their lifelong commitment to grassroot change.
The launch also saw an overwhelming turnout of Yuva’s corporate friends, whose generous support continues to fuel this educational revolution pan-India. Esteemed guests included representatives from Hexaware, Mirae Assets, Alkem, Adani, Grihum Housing, and Newsreach.
To celebrate this moment, Amitabh Shah , the Chief Inspiration Officer and Founder at Yuva Unstoppable said - “India is rich with potential to drive social change. What we need are more people on the ground who can deliver impact effectively.”
As Yuva Unstoppable continues its mission to impact 15 million children by 2030, Anuyog Vidyalaya stands as a proof to collective action—an empowering example of how community support and access to quality education can help unlock the dreams of India’s children for a brighter and more inclusive future.
