Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh (February 26, 2025): Two people, including a child, died and several others were injured when an electric bus collided with pedestrians and a bike on Gulavti Road under the Musuri Police Station area around 2:15 p.m. on Wednesday February 26, 2025.

The bus, part of Uttar Pradesh Roadways' shuttle service, is believed to have suffered a brake failure, though police are still investigating the cause. The injured victims have been rushed to a nearby hospital.

According to the reports, the driver and conductor fled the scene after the incident. In response, an angry mob vandalized the bus. Police have launched a manhunt for the two.

The bodies of the victims, a woman and a child, were sent to the mortuary for post-mortem. Four others, including two men and two girls, were injured but their condition is stable.

Police have taken the bus into custody, and the situation has been brought under control. Further legal action is underway.
