A disturbing incident at a wedding in Surat, Gujarat, involved a buffalo that injured two people. During the chaos, guests ran in all directions to escape the aggressive animal, and two sisters, aged 11 and 9, were hurt. The police have filed charges against two individuals for negligence, as they did not secure the buffalo properly.
Abdul Sakir Gafar Shaikh, a guest at his nephew Taukir Shaikh's wedding in Razanagar, Salabatpura, reported that the buffalo entered the venue around 2 PM and began charging at guests. As people rushed to safety, the buffalo hit Shaikh's two daughters, who were later hospitalized. Investigations revealed that the buffalo belonged to a local resident, Naeem, also known as Fatya Kureshi. The buffalo had escaped while Kureshi was trying to unload it from a tempo.
Police stated that Kureshi had brought the buffalo from Rander with plans to sell it for a commission. However, he lost control during the unloading process, leading the buffalo to bolt in fear and behave aggressively. A police officer from Salabatpura commented, "Kureshi's careless handling caused the buffalo to escape and create chaos. We have issued notices to both Kureshi and the tempo driver."
