This year, Holi will be celebrated on Friday, March 14. It is the same day when Muslims step out to offer prayers of Jumma. 10 mosques along the path of the Holi procession in Sambhal will be covered with tarpaulins as part of stringent security precautions.
Following a discussion with religious leaders, it was decided to use tarps to cover the mosques on Chaupai Marg on March 14. There were members of the Muslim and Hindu communities at the conference. In terms of security measures during Holi, the Sambhal administration is taking all necessary precautions.
A top police official stated that it had been determined in Sambhal that Muslims would conduct namaz after 2:30 PM on March 14 and Hindus would enjoy Holi until that time.

Samajwadi Party MP Ziaur Rahman said this is the administration's responsibility and that there will be no incidents hurting anyone's sentiments. He said, “This is not the first time two festivals of the two communities are coinciding. It has happened before peacefully, and it will happen this time as well. If 10 mosques have been identified and are to be covered with tarpaulin, then I would say it should not be needed if the security arrangements are good enough. However, if this is happening, then it is the administration's responsibility that there will be no incidents hurting anyone's sentiments."
Magistrates have been used in every locality. Both district-level and police station-level peace committee meetings have taken place.
