Hotel Taj in Lucknow shuts down after Kanika's visit

The Taj Hotel here, where Bollywood singer Kanika Kapoor attended a party, has been closed till further orders, according to the orders issued by the District Magistrate on Friday evening.

Lucknow, March 20 The Taj Hotel here, where Bollywood singer Kanika Kapoor attended a party, has been closed till further orders, according to the orders issued by the District Magistrate on Friday evening.

Kanika, who tested positive for coronavirus on Friday morning, had attended a party at the Hotel Taj when she arrived in Lucknow earlier this week.

The District Magistrate has already ordered a complete shutdown of all areas that the Bollywood singer had visited during the past seven days in the state capital.

The shutdown will be in force till March 31.

All shops, restaurants, roadside eateries, sweet shops, malls, cafe, bars, hair saloons and beauty parlors were shut down earlier in the day.
