The second wave of corona in the country has subsided. But the threat of a third wave persists. Therefore, the vaccination campaign in the country is being accelerated. Vaccination will be important when traveling abroad in the future. However, the European Union has not included Covishield and Covaxin in the green pass scheme. India has expressed displeasure over this. Accept both vaccines, otherwise EU citizens will be quarantined upon arrival in India, a direct warning has been issued by India.

The European Union has relaxed travel restrictions under its Green Pass scheme. Therefore, the Government of India has appealed to the European Union to allow Indians who have been vaccinated with Covishield and Covaxin to travel to Europe.The European Union consists of 27 countries. ‘We will give exemption from compulsory quarantine to European citizens with green pass. But there is a condition for this. You have to approve Covishield and Covaxin, "India told the European Union.

India has requested the European Union to accept the vaccination certificate issued through the CoWin portal. The European Union's digital covid certificate scheme, the 'Green Pass' scheme, will come into effect on Thursday. Citizens can travel through this.

What is a Green Pass Scheme?

People who have been vaccinated by the European Medical Association (EMA) will be given special concessions while traveling in the European Union. Individuals who have not been vaccinated without EMA approval will not be able to take advantage of the Green Pass scheme. Covishield and Covaxin are not included in the green pass scheme.These two vaccines are mainly used in vaccination in India.
