Indore: 19-Year-Old Student Jumps To Death From College Building, Leaves Suicide Note

A 19-year-old student, Mayur Rajput, tragically died by suicide after jumping from the third floor of his college building in the Dwarkapuri police station area of Indore. Anand Yadav, Additional DCP Zone 4, confirmed the incident and stated that an investigation is underway to determine the circumstances leading to the student's death.

"This is an incident of the Dwarkapuri police station area where a boy named Mayur Rajput, who was a BSc third-year student, jumped from the third floor of the college and committed suicide from there," said Additional DCP Yadav.

Preliminary investigations have revealed that Mayur Rajput had posted a concerning message on his social media status prior to the incident. The message indicated a sense of despair, with him writing, "neither could I become a good student nor a good son." Authorities believe the student acted in a state of mental distress.

According to police, Mayur went to college on Saturday to attend a function. After spending some time at the event, he was seen walking towards the rooftop. Shortly thereafter, some students found him fallen on the ground and alerted the college administration. CCTV footage shows Mayur falling from the building.
