Indore Murder: Elderly Man Kills 65-Year Old Wife After Heated Argument, Stabbing Her Multiple Times with Scissors

A 70-year-old man has been arrested for the brutal murder of his 65-year-old wife at their residence in Indore, Madhya Pradesh. Tarachand Khatri is accused of stabbing his wife, Seema Khatri, multiple times with scissors on her neck, hands, and chest. According to ACP Shivendu Joshi, the incident occurred at their Silver Palace Colony home in Annapurna. At the time of the attack, the couple’s daughter-in-law was present in the house, while their son was at work, and their young grandchildren were at school. The murder took place while the daughter-in-law briefly left the house to dispose of garbage in the municipal corporation vehicle. Upon her return, she witnessed Tarachand Khatri holding the scissors. She attempted to intervene, but was unable to prevent the fatal outcome. Authorities report that Seema Khatri sustained severe injuries from the scissor attack, resulting in her death. Police are investigating the motive behind the heinous crime and are gathering further evidence. Tarachand Khatri is currently in custody, and further details will be released as the investigation progresses.

A similar incident was also reported in Sonepat’s Bhainswan Khurd village on Wednesday night wherein a 22-year-old woman was stabbed to death by her husband after wife refused to cook for him. The deceased has been identified as Nisha, a native of Delhi and married to accused Sahil of Bhainswan Khurd village nearly a year-and-a-half ago. The couple had a two-month-old son. The accused, identified as Sahil Kumar, was addicted to alcohol and worked as a labourer. According to police officials, the accused Sahil Kumar returned home late on Wednesday night and he started abusing his wife. “Then, the accused thrashed his wife Nisha and later stabbed her,” a spokesperson of Sonepat police added. Bhainswan Khurd police check-post in-charge Udai Singh said that the couple had a family dispute for the last three days and the accused killed his wife and informed his mother. “The accused man’s mother was shocked after he told her that he stabbed his wife. His mother took Sahil’s wife Nisha to a hospital, where doctors declared her dead,” the sub-inspector added. The sub-inspector said that the accused is at large, and they have booked him on murder charges.
