The Delhi Government has launched the Mahila Samridhi Yojna, a Rs 5,100 crore annual scheme providing direct financial assistance to women, particularly those from economically weaker sections, to promote women's empowerment and financial independence. The Directorate of Information and Publicity hailed it as a major step towards economic stability and social upliftment.

A government committee, chaired by Chief Minister Rekha Gupta and including Ministers Pravesh Sahib Singh, Ashish Sood, and Kapil Mishra, will oversee implementation. Fulfilling a key Sankalp Patra promise, the scheme underscores the government's commitment to women's welfare and economic inclusion. Aadhaar-based e-KYC will ensure transparent and efficient disbursement through a dedicated online portal.
