Srinagar, Sep 8 The Jammu & Kashmir Police on Tuesday arrested three terrorist associates linked to proscribed terror outfit Lashkar-e-Taiba from north Kashmir's Bandipore district, officials said.

Incriminating materials including a hand grenade and flag making equipment have been recovered from their possession.

Police said it received information that some anti-national elements at the behest of local active terrorists of LeT had hoisted Pakistani flags at Main Bazar Hajin in Bandipore district in order to create fear psychosis and incite anti-national feelings among the people of Hajin area.

"Accordingly an FIR under relevant sections of law was registered and investigation was taken up. During the course of investigation, officers learnt about the involvement of three individuals involved in the commission of the crime. They have been arrested and identified as Mujeeb Shamas, Tanveer Ahmad Mir and Imtiyaz Ahmad Sheikh, all residents of Mir Mohalla Hajin," police said.

Police said incriminating material including one hand grenade, flags, flag-making cloth, sewing machine and other material used for preparing flags were recovered from them.
