Kushinagar, Uttar Pradesh (April 21, 2025): Six people were killed and two others seriously injured when a car carrying wedding guests crashed into a tree near Shukla Bhujouli village in the Nebua Naurangia police station area on Sunday night. The car was traveling from Padrauna to Khadda when it lost control and collided with a tree on the side of the road. In a photo shared by Kushinagar Police, the vehicle can be seen completely damaged.
Local residents rushed to the scene and began rescue operations. Police and emergency workers used gas cutters and hammers to remove the victims from the wreckage.

Three people were pronounced dead at the scene. Three others were taken to the district hospital in critical condition but later died. The two injured victims were referred to Gorakhpur Medical College for further treatment.
According to the regional media reports, the deceased have been identified as Omprakash Maddheshiya, 33, the car's driver, and residents of Kushinagar, including Harendra Maddheshiya, Ranjit Maddheshiya, Mukesh, Bhim Yadav, and one unidentified person. The two injured individuals, Raj Kishore and Bajrangi.
The accident reportedly caused a temporary disruption in traffic. Police from three stations were on-site, and rescue operations continued until midnight.
