The incident took place in a colony along the Dehradun Highway in Delhi, where Bablu, a daily wage laborer, resides with his wife. The couple had been married for five years, but frequent arguments arose due to the husband's alleged alcohol addiction. On Sunday, Bablu returned home intoxicated, leading to an argument with his wife. The next morning, he overslept, which further angered his wife. When she tried to wake him up, a heated altercation ensued, culminating in the wife striking him on the head with a brick. Bablu, who sustained serious injuries, claimed that his wife warned him that he would meet the same fate as the victim in the Brahmapuri incident.
Following the attack, Bablu went to the police station to file a complaint. However, the dispute was reportedly resolved between the couple before any legal action was taken. Meanwhile, the wife has denied all allegations.
