Modi extends best wishes to Covid-19 positive UK counterpart

Soon after his UK counterpart Boris Johnson on Friday revealed that he had tested positive for Covid-19, Prime Minister Narendra Modi took extended his wishes for his speedy recovery.

New Delhi, March 27 Soon after his UK counterpart Boris Johnson on Friday revealed that he had tested positive for Covid-19, Prime Minister Narendra Modi took extended his wishes for his speedy recovery.

"Dear PM Boris Johnson, You're a fighter and you will overcome this challenge as well. Prayers for your good health and best wishes in ensuring a healthy UK," Modi said in a tweet.

Earlier in the day, Johnson had tweeted, "Over the last 24 hours I have developed mild symptoms and tested positive for coronavirus."

He added that he had gone into self-isoLation and would be working from home.
