As the new year approaches, preparations are underway for the implementation of the Employment Linked Incentive (ELI) Scheme, announced in the recent budget by the Modi government. Set to roll out in 2025, the scheme aims to boost employment opportunities by providing incentive subsidies to both employees and employers. To benefit from this initiative, eligible participants must complete a key requirement before January 15.

To avail benefits under the scheme, linking the Universal Account Number (UAN), Aadhaar, and bank account is mandatory. The deadline for completing this process, initially set for December 15, 2024, has been extended by the Employees' Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) to January 15, 2025.
