Moradabad Accident: Car Following Google Maps Crashes Into Truck in Uttar Pradesh, Two Women Killed, Two Men Injured (Watch Video)
Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh (Apri 3, 2025): Two women lost their lives, and two men suffered serious injuries when their car collided with a container truck in Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh. The accident took place on the bypass road in the Munda Pandey area. The four friends were traveling from Uttarakhand to Haryana and were using Google Maps for navigation. While following directions, they mistakenly drove onto the wrong side of the road. A speeding container truck coming from the opposite direction crashed into their vehicle.

The impact was severe. The car doors got locked, trapping all four inside. The two women died on the spot, while the men were critically injured.

Google Maps a Possible Factor in the Accident
During the investigation, police found that Google Maps was still active inside the wrecked car. The group was likely using it for navigation but ended up taking a wrong turn onto the bypass. As they entered the lane heading toward the city, a high-speed container truck approached and collided with their vehicle. The crash left the car completely mangled.
Victims Identified
Police identified the deceased as 32-year-old Shivani and 20-year-old Simran, both from Rohtak, Haryana. The injured were Rahul and his friend Sanju, also known as Ashu. According to reports, the four had traveled to Nainital for a trip on March 31. They were returning home when the accident occurred around 10 p.m. on Tuesday.
