A fire broke out at GM Spring Company located in Sector 1 of Pithampur in Dhar district of Madhya Pradesh. The fire started in the furnace oil tank used for manufacturing springs and quickly spread. Upon receiving the information, the fire brigade rushed to the scene with three fire tenders and managed to control the blaze. The fire was confined to the furnace oil area, and the exact cause is yet to be determined. The police and administrative officials were present at the site. Fortunately, no casualties were reported.
Shortly after, another fire erupted at Signet Pipe Company in Sector 3 of the Pithampur Industrial Area. The company, which manufactures plastic pipes, caught fire in the early hours of Friday. At least 12 fire tenders were deployed as the fire intensified, with smoke visible from several kilometres away. The presence of raw plastic materials caused the flames to spread rapidly.

To contain the fire, the administration deployed JCB machines to remove raw materials, and dumpers filled with sand were brought in. Firefighters from nearby areas, including Indore Airport, Dhar, and Pithampur, joined the operation. According to locals in the area, the fire began around 2.30 am attempts were initially made to douse the flames using sand before alerting the authorities.
"Fire tenders are at the spot, and we are trying to control the fire. The fire broke out around midnight," SDM Pithampur Pramod Singh Gurjar .
Pithampur SDM Pramod Singh Gurjar confirmed that the fire was caused by the large quantity of raw materials. Police in-charge Rajendra Soni stated that additional fire-fighting support, including sand trucks and equipment, was brought in. A crane was reportedly destroyed in the fire. The SDRF team also arrived on the scene. Thankfully, no employees were present at the time, as the factory shift begins at 8 am.
