NIA Arrests Key Suspect in Sri Lankan Human Trafficking Racket in Chennai
The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has arrested a key absconding accused, Mohamed Ibrahim, in connection with a human trafficking case involving the illegal entry of Sri Lankan nationals into India under the false pretext of employment in Canada.
According to ANI report Ibrahim, who had multiple non-bailable warrants issued against him, was apprehended in Chennai on Tuesday. The arrest was carried out by the NIA in coordination with the Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) of the Tamil Nadu Police.
