Odisha Weather Forecast: IMD Predicts Dry Conditions, Temperature Reaches 38.2 Degrees Celsius
Manorama Mohanty, Director of the India Meteorological Department (IMD), Bhubaneswar, said that in the past 24 hours, the highest temperature in Odisha was recorded at 38.2 degrees Celsius, which is 2-3 degrees Celsius above normal. According to the forecast, the state will witness dry weather for the next 7 days, and there is no chance of rainfall activity.
The temperature was recorded at 38.6 degrees Celsius in Jharsuguda and Paralakhemundi, while Balangir registered 38.4 degrees Celsius. The Meteorological Department has predicted that the daytime temperature will be 2 to 3 degrees Celsius above normal in various locations across eight districts.

On Monday, the temperature in Sambalpur reached 37 degrees Celsius by 2:30 PM, while Jharsuguda recorded 36.4 degrees Celsius, Hirakud 36.2 degrees Celsius, and Bhubaneswar 35 degrees Celsius. By noon, the intense heat and scorching sun made conditions unbearable.
According to the Meteorological Department, daytime temperatures on Tuesday and Wednesday will remain 2 to 3 degrees Celsius above normal in Puri, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, Sambalpur, Balangir, and Boudh. Night temperatures are expected to remain unchanged for the next three days, after which a drop of 2 to 3 degrees Celsius is anticipated.
