Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s address in the Lok Sabha on Tuesday was disrupted by opposition MPs raising slogans demanding justice and peace for Manipur. As PM Modi replied to the Motion of Thanks on the President's speech, opposition members chanted, "Peace for Manipur" and "We Want Justice."

Slogans of "Nyay Do, Nyay Do," "Shame, Shame," "Justice for Manipur," and "Pradhan Mantri Sharam Karo" echoed through the lower house. Speaker Om Birla had to intervene when Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi joined the sloganeering. The Speaker reprimanded Gandhi, stating, "This does not suit you. Do you want to break the dignity of Parliament? Your behavior is very inappropriate."

During his speech, PM Modi thanked President Droupadi Murmu and acknowledged the key points highlighted in her address. He also praised first-time MPs for their impressive performances in the Lok Sabha. "Yesterday, some of the first-time MPs addressed the Lok Sabha. They spoke like experienced MPs. I want to congratulate them," he said.

Shifting to a critical tone, PM Modi addressed the opposition's recent electoral defeat. "I understand the pain of some people who faced a crushing defeat despite continuously spreading falsehoods," he remarked. He highlighted the BJP's electoral success, noting that their campaign led to the people of India giving the BJP the opportunity to serve the nation for the third time.

"The country has seen our 10-year track record. The people have witnessed our dedication to the welfare of the poor. In the past 10 years, 25 crore people have been lifted out of poverty due to our committed efforts," PM Modi stated.
