Lord Ram is prayed not only in India but has gained significance across the globe. In India, Ram Navami is celebrated not just as a birth of Lord Rama, but it is also the day when Lord Rama's temple inaugurated in Ayodhya. Now, Rama temple is about to complete, the temple’s stunning architecture almost ready, the celebrations are expected to be more heartfelt, grand, and spiritually enriching than ever before. This Ram Navam which is also known as the Navami Tithi in the Hindu Panchang, will be celebrated on April 6, 2025. The Navami Tithi begins at 7:26 PM on April 5, 2025, and ends at 7:22 PM on April 6, 2025. The auspicious time (Shubh Muhurat) for Puja is from 11:08 AM to 1:39 PM on April 6, 2025. Because the Navami Tithi prevails at sunrise on April 6, this day is observed as Ram Navami.
This Navami is also more special as recent installation of the majestic Shikhar (pinnacle) at the Ram Temple in Ayodhya. A special consecration ceremony was held on April 3, 2025, to honor the main spire and six others within the temple complex. This moment marks a major milestone in a dream that’s been cherished for generations. Naturally, Ayodhya is expected to see record pilgrim turnout and vibrant, large-scale celebrations this Ram Navami.
Ram Navami is celebrated with fasting, prayer, and devotional singing, culminating in a midday puja where devotees offer flowers, fruits, and sweets to Lord Rama, Sita, Lakshmana, and Hanuman. Rituals include Ramayana recitations, aarti, and prasad distribution.
