Earlier, Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah met with officials from various departments to prepare for Ramzan. He emphasized the need for adequate electricity and essential services throughout the month. "The holy month of Ramzan is starting. It is the government's responsibility to provide facilities to the people. During today's meeting, we reviewed every department and stressed that there should be no shortcomings in electricity, especially during Sehri and Iftaar, as well as in water supply, rations, cleanliness, sanitation, and traffic," Omar told reporters.
Ramzan, a month of fasting, begins on March 2 and concludes with Eid-Ul-Fitr, marking the end of dawn-to-sunset fasting.
