The son of the village head was shot dead allegedly in a gang war in Rampur, the police said.

The son of the village head was shot dead allegedly in a gang war in Rampur, the police said.

The incident took place in Dalpura village of Patwai Police Station area of Rampur last night.

Efforts are underway to nab the accused who are on the run, police said.

"The police is searching for the accused. No complaint has been registered yet," Arun Kumar Singh, Senior Superintendent of Police said.
