Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta's convoy came to an abrupt halt on the Haiderpur Flyover near Shalimar Bagh in the National Capital on Wednesday, March 26, after four to five stray cattle suddenly appeared in front of it. During this time, a major accident was narrowly avoided. The CM's convoy remained stopped on the flyover for about 15 minutes, reported the news agency IANS.
CM personally got out of her car and intervened, directing officials to implement measures to prevent animals from entering the road and asked the concerned authorities to find proper shelter for stray cattle found on the Haiderpur flyover.
Pictures shared by the IANS show visuals from Haiderpur Flyover, where authorities, including the Chief Minister, were removing cows from the road while Rekha Gupta was seen directing officials regarding the incident. It is also seen that brief vehicular traffic on the flyover was halted due to the incident.

The accident took place at the time when CM Rekha Gupta was coming back to his respective destination after inspecting Delhi Metro pillars. During this, he instructed to remove posters and hoardings on pillars. Objecting to the posters and hoardings pasted on the metro pillar, the CM said that we have to make the National Capital of India clean.
"Nobody has the right to #damage govt property. If we need a beautiful and clean Delhi, everyone's support is required here. No one should spoil govt property. Metro pillars are the beauty of Delhi and we should not paste posters and hoarding here," CM Gupta said.
