The incident occurred at the Dhanadhanya Auditorium, where West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee was present.
Eyewitnesses reported that the gate, which was set up to manage the crowd, suddenly gave way, causing a stampede and resulting in several people being injured.
