Former Indian cricketer Sourav Ganguly escaped unhurt in a road accident on Thursday (February 20) after his car met with an accident on the Durgapur Expressway in West Bengal. Fortunately, he did not receive any injuries. The accident took place when Ganguly was on his way to Burdwan to attend a programme when a truck suddenly appeared in front of his convoy near Dantanpur on the Durgapur Expressway. Seeing this driver applied brakes immediately, causing the vehicles behind to do the same. As a result, multiple vehicles collided, and one of them crashed into Ganguly’s car.
Neither Ganguly nor anyone in his convoy sustained injuries, but traffic jams were reported on the road for about 10 minutes. Two vehicles suffered minor damage. After a brief halt at the accident site, he resumed his journey and attended the event at Burdwan University as scheduled.
