Four coaches of the Vande Bharat Express, traveling from Amb-Andaura station (Himachal Pradesh's Una) to New Delhi, were damaged after miscreants pelted stones at the train, officials reported on Sunday. Fortunately, no passengers were injured in the incident.
Officials stated that unidentified people hurled stones at the train near Basal village around 1:15 pm on Saturday, shattering the window panes of two coaches. Railway police are currently assessing the damage and are making efforts to apprehend the culprits.
In a separate incident on October 4, the Vande Bharat Express traveling from Patna to Tatanagar was targeted by stone pelters in Jharkhand. The attack took place between Sarmataar and Yaduudhih stations, around 4 kilometers from Koderma, resulting in broken windows in Coach C-2 (seats 43-45) and Coach C-5 (seats 63-64).
