Viral Video! Tourists capped to 50 at Kempty Falls after video of maskless crowd went viral
After a video of tourists flouting Covid-19 norms at Mussoorie’s Kempty falls went viral, officials have now announced that only 50 tourists will be allowed at Kempty Falls (waterfall) in Mussorie with a maximum permissible time of 30 minutes. A check-post will be set up to monitor the tourists, said Iva Ashish Srivastava, Tehri Garhwal District Magistrate.
The district administration has taken the decision in view of the Covid-19 pandemic.
The order came a day after video went viral showing a large number of crowd bathing at the falls without wearing masks or maintaining social distancing norms.
Experts have warned of the third wave of Covid-19, despite the threat citizens can be seen venturing out and videos of long queues of private vehicles, overcrowded tourist locations have raised alarm.
