V.K Sasikala complains of fever, brought to hospital from Central jail
Former Tamil Nadu CM J Jayalalithaa's aide Sasikala on Wednesday was brought to Bowring and Lady Curzon Hospital from Central Jail in Bengaluru after she complained of fever.
Sasikala, was undergoing her sentence in Central jail after being convicted in the disproportionate assets case. She is expected to be released on January 27. Sasikala and two of her relatives Illavarasi and Sudhakaran have been in prison since 2017 following their conviction in a corruption case.
In 2017, the Income Tax Department had raided about 187 properties said to be linked to Sasikala and her relatives and unearthed alleged tax evasion of about Rs 1,430 crore.
Sasikala complains of fever, to be taken to Bowring and Lady Curzon Hospital from Central Jail in Bengaluru, Karnataka.
