The world's largest human gathering, the Maha Kumbh Mela, occurs once every 12 years and ends today, February 26. Mahashiratri 'Snan' was the last holy dip of the Mahakumbh in the Prayagraj district of Uttar Pradesh. Lakhs of devotees, including sadhus and pilgrims from different countries, took a holy dip at the Triveni Sangam.

The Indian Air Force (IAF) bid adieu to Maha Kumbh Mela 2025 on the last day by conducting an air show over Maha Kumbh Mela Kshetra. The air show over Triveni Sangam was an expression of gratitude to the people who attended Mahakumb.
This year, Mahakumbh began on January 13 on Paush Purnima with a rare celestial alignment that occurs in every 144 years. This largest religious gathering attracted over 65 crore people across the world. According to Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, over 11.66 lakh devotees had already taken a bath in the Sangam till 2 am on Wednesday. Government data showed that this number rose to 25.64 lakh within the next two hours, and then almost doubled to 41.11 lakh devotees by 6 am.
