Police use water cannon on Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) as breached barricades during BJYM's ‘Yuva Aakrosh Rally' at Morabadi Grounds in Ranchi against the Hemant Soren government. The protest, intended to spotlight alleged injustices and unfulfilled promises by the administration, escalated into a confrontation that resulted in several injuries.
Former Union Minister & BJP leader Arjun Munda condemned the action saying, "This useless government by misusing administrative machinery has stopped our peaceful demonstration."

"Hemant Soren's government is afraid...The youths came for justice to the government...Hemant Soren's government has been showing the terror orgy since yesterday...BJP workers and youths were stopped and lathi-charged...I want to say that this lathi charge will prove to be the last nail in the coffin of the Hemant Soren government," Union Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan said.
Meanwhile, Chief Minister Hemant Soren took a dig at the proposed rally and alleged that “They (BJP) have ruined the future of youths across the country. And, now they are taking out the ‘Yuva Aakrosh’ rally. Recruitments have almost dried up in major employment-intensive sectors such as defence, railway, coal and banks."
Earlier on Friday, the district administration has enforced Section 163 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023 (BNSS), which replaced Section 144 of the CrPC, within a 500-metre radius of the Morabadi Ground, excluding the premises. During a government function in Palamu on Thursday, Soren said his government has already given jobs to thousands of youths and added that JMM would take out marches in districts to protest against BJP’s designs to divide people based on religion.
