The Central Railway (CR) has announced 72 additional train services to accommodate the summer vacation rush. These special trains will operate on special charges from Mumbai to Raxaul, Saharsa, and Dhanbad.
Bookings for these special trains will open on April 5, 2025, at all computerized reservation centers and on the official website: www.irctc.co.in.
According to Central Railway, a total of 1,058 Summer Special trains, including 278 unreserved trains, have been introduced so far, over and above the regular train services, to manage the surge in passenger demand during the summer season.
The details of the additional 72 Summer Special trains are as under:
LTT Mumbai–Raxaul Weekly Specials will operate 12 trips from each side every Thursday from April 10 to June 26, 2025. It will have a composition of two AC-2 Tier, six AC-3 Tier, seven Sleeper Class, four General Second Class, one General Second Class cum Guard’s Brake Van, and one Generator Van.
LTT Mumbai–Saharsa Weekly Specials will run 12 trips from each side every Sunday from April 13 to June 29, 2025. The train will have a composition of two AC-2 Tier, six AC-3 Tier, seven Sleeper Class, four General Second Class, one General Second Class cum Guard’s Brake Van, and one Generator Van.
LTT Mumbai–Dhanbad Weekly Specials will operate 12 trips from each side every Thursday from April 10 to June 26, 2025. The composition will include five AC-2 Tier, ten AC-3 Tier (Economy), five AC-3 Tier, and two Generator Vans.
