In an interesting move, Gajanan Kale, the Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) candidate for the Belapur constituency, has invited the current MLA of Belapur and the former MLA of Airoli for an open discussion on their accomplishments. Kale asserted that, despite holding no official position, he is prepared to share what he has contributed to Navi Mumbai over the past decade.

Kale made this statement while presenting his manifesto for the Belapur constituency ahead of the upcoming Maharashtra Assembly election. With election day approaching, candidates are making visible efforts to engage with voters.

Kale invited both MLAs to an open discussion at Shivaji Chowk in Vashi on Friday at 3 p.m., where they can review their achievements from the past 10 years.

In his manifesto, Kale pledged to prioritize education, healthcare, and infrastructure in the city. He highlighted that Navi Mumbai lacks government-run medical and engineering colleges. “In the past two decades, the current politicians have not developed adequate infrastructure for sports or healthcare,” he said. Kale added that he intends to establish a training center for MPSC and UPSC exam preparation and a botanical garden in Turbhe.

In addition to the medical and engineering colleges, Kale also promised to build an international-standard sports complex in the city.

Meanwhile, M.K. Madhvi, the Shiv Sena (UBT) candidate from Airoli, released his manifesto on Wednesday. Madhvi pledged to improve water supply, road conditions, and to tackle the rising pollution in his constituency. Madhvi will be contesting against MahaYuti alliance candidate from the BJP, Ganesh Naik.
