Mumbai: Western Railway will operate a night jumbo block between Borivali and Ram Mandir stations in the midnight hours of Saturday, April 5 to Sunday, April 6, 2025. The block will be in effect from 12:15 AM to 4:15 AM on the Up Slow Line and Down Fast Line, lasting a total of four hours.
The block is being taken to facilitate the maintenance of railway tracks, signaling systems, and overhead equipment, according to a press release issued by Vineet Abhishek, Chief Public Relations Officer of Western Railway.
During the block, trains on the Up Slow Line between Borivali and Andheri will be diverted to the Up Fast Line. As a result, these trains will not halt at Ram Mandir station due to platform unavailability. Additionally, certain Up and Down trains will be cancelled or short-terminated during this period.
Passengers are advised to check with station masters at nearby stations for detailed updates and are requested to plan their travel accordingly.
Western Railway has also clarified that no day block will be operated on Sunday, April 6, 2025, in the suburban section.
