A major fire broke out in some godowns in Dahisar area of ​​Navi Mumbai on Saturday morning. Fire tenders rushed to the spot as soon as they received information about the fire. The fire brigade managed to control the fire after 9 hours. The cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained. Fortunately, no one was injured in the fire.

According to Thane Municipal Corporation Disaster Management Cell Chief Yasin Tadvi, a fire broke out in 25 to 30 godowns near Irani Masjid in Thakurpada around 1.00 am on Saturday. The godowns contained flammable materials like tar, plastic drums, compressors. Due to this, the fire spread rapidly.

As soon as the information about the incident was received, fire tenders and personnel from Thane, Koparkhairane, CBD Belapur, Kalamboli, Nerul and Vashi rushed to the spot to douse the fire. The fire was brought under control around 10.30 am. A cooling operation has been started to prevent the fire from re-igniting. Fortunately, there were no casualties in the fire. The incident created a stir in the area.
