Navi Mumbai: Uran police have arrested seven Bangladeshi nationals from Dronagiri, who were found working at a construction site. During the investigation, they were discovered to be in possession of forged Indian identity documents.

The Navi Mumbai police have intensified their crackdown on illegal Bangladeshi immigrants. Acting on the instructions of Senior Inspector Jitendra Misal from Uran Police Station, a team led by Assistant Inspector Nitin Khade conducted an inspection at the construction site in Dronagiri on Monday. The verification process revealed that seven individuals had forged Indian identity documents.

The arrested individuals have been identified as Avijit Roy (36), Sukumar Biswas (51), Palash Tarafdar (40), Jahangir Hussain (27), Abdul Laskar (48), Subrato Pal (32), and Hannan Khan (32).

All of them are originally from Bangladesh and had entered India illegally before seeking refuge in the Uran area. A case has been registered against them at Uran Police Station. Additionally, those who provided them shelter and assisted in creating forged documents will also face legal action.
