To ensure smooth traffic flow during the inauguration of the ISKCON Temple by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on January 15, 2025, the Navi Mumbai Traffic Police has announced restrictions in Kharghar. These measures include a ban on vehicle entry, partial route diversions, and designated no-parking zones around Sector 23, where the temple is located. The restrictions will be in place from the morning 6 am on January 15, with a focus on managing traffic and crowd movement before the 5 pm ceremony. Commuters and visitors are advised to plan their routes to avoid inconvenience.
To ensure smooth and controlled traffic flow in Kharghar, for the inauguration of the International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON) Temple, the Navi Mumbai Traffic Police has issued a notification imposing restrictions on vehicle movement. These measures include a ban on entry, partial route diversions, and designated no-parking zones on certain roads in Kharghar.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the ISKCON Temple at 5 pm at Sector 23 in Kharghar on January 15.
According to the Kharghar Traffic Unit of Navi Mumbai Police, the event will be attended by dignitaries, including prominent ministers from the Central and State governments, as well as other notable individuals. A large gathering of political leaders and the public is also expected.
Given the anticipated high traffic density in the area, severe congestion is likely. To mitigate this and ensure a smooth flow of traffic, necessary measures, including "No Entry" zones, partial route diversions, and "No Parking" areas, will be in effect.
1) Entry BanA notification will be issued regarding the "Entry Ban" from Ove Gaon Police Station to the J Kumar Circle and Green Heritage, on both sides of the road, excluding VIP vehicles, police vehicles, emergency services, government vehicles, and vehicles that have come for the event.
Alternate Routes:
- Vehicles coming from Prashant Corner to Ove Gaon Police Station, and intending to go to J Kumar Circle, will turn left at Ove Gaon Chowk and proceed to the desired location.
- Vehicles coming from Ove Gaon Chowk to Ove Gaon Police Station, intending to go to J Kumar Circle, will turn right at Prashant Corner and proceed to the desired location.
- Vehicles coming from Shilp Chowk intending to go straight to J Kumar Circle and Ove Gaon Police Station will reach Green Heritage Chowk and turn either right or left to proceed to the desired location.
- Vehicles coming from Gram Vikas Bhavan intending to turn left at Green Heritage Chowk to go to J Kumar Circle and Ove Gaon Police Station will continue straight ahead to BD Somani School and proceed to the desired location.
- Vehicles coming from Central Park Metro Station intending to go to Ove Gaon Police Station will turn right and proceed to the desired location. Vehicles intending to go to J Kumar Circle will turn right at Gram Vikas Bhavan Chowk and proceed to the desired location.
Entry BanA notification will be issued regarding the "Entry Ban" from Gurudwara Chowk to J Kumar Circle to BD Somani School, on both sides of the road, excluding VIP vehicles, police vehicles, emergency services, government vehicles, and vehicles that have come for the event.
Alternate Routes:
- Vehicles coming from Ove Gaon Chowk to Gurudwara will go straight to Gram Vikas Bhavan Chowk, turn left, and proceed to the desired location.
- Vehicles coming from Gram Vikas Bhavan to Gurudwara intending to go to J Kumar Circle will turn right at Ove Gaon Chowk and proceed to the desired location.
- Vehicles coming from Vinayak Sheth Chowk to BD Somani School will turn right at BD Somani School Chowk and proceed to the desired location.
- Vehicles coming from Prashant Corner to BD Somani School will turn left at BD Somani School Chowk and proceed to the desired location.
Entry BanA notification will be issued regarding the "Entry Ban" between ISKCON Temple Gate No. 01 and ISKCON Temple Gate No. 02, on both sides of the road, excluding VIP vehicles, police vehicles, government vehicles, and emergency services.
Alternate Routes:
- Vehicles coming from Bhagwati Green Building intending to go through ISKCON Temple to Gram Vikas Bhavan will turn right at Delta Central, then right again at Bhagwati Green and proceed to Green Heritage Circle and continue to the desired location.
No Parking Zones:
- A "No Parking" notification will be issued on both sides of the road from Hiranandani Bridge Junction to Utsav Chowk to Gram Vikas Bhavan to Gurudwara to Ove Gaon Chowk.
- A "No Parking" notification will be issued on both sides of the road from Ove Gaon Police Station to Ove Cricket Ground (Helipad), Corporate Central Park, Sector-29, the event location, Bhagwati Green Cut, and ISKCON Gate No. 01.
- A "No Parking" notification will be issued on both sides of the road from Gram Vikas Bhavan to Green Heritage to Central Park Metro Station.
- A "No Parking" notification will be issued on both sides of the road from J Kumar Circle to Green Heritage.
This traffic control notification will not apply to vehicles carrying essential goods, police vehicles, fire brigade vehicles, ambulances, government vehicles, and other emergency service vehicles.
This notification will be enforced from 6:00 AM on 15/01/2025 until the event concludes.
