Navi Mumbai: In an important step towards providing employment opportunities for the children of police personnel, 377 police wards have secured job offers after interviews conducted at the Police Welfare Employment Fair 2025. Additionally, 222 candidates have been shortlisted for the second, third, and fourth rounds of interviews, which will take place over the next 15 days.
The event, held at Agri Koli Cultural Hall, Nerul, was graced by Yogesh Kadam, Minister of State for Home (Urban), Government of Maharashtra. The fair was designed to support the children of both serving and retired police personnel from the Navi Mumbai and surrounding areas.
A total of 99 registered companies participated in the fair, with 20 companies conducting interviews on-site. The event saw the registration of 2,613 candidates, with 780 police wards attending in person. During the event, 9 candidates were handed appointment letters by Yogesh Kadam and the Commissioner of Police, Navi Mumbai, marking a symbolic step in the hiring process.
With the next rounds of interviews scheduled, approximately 25% of the shortlisted candidates are expected to be selected for final placements.
