Central Railway to Run 332 Summer Special Trains to Handle Holiday Rush
With the onset of summer vacations and the rising number of passengers, Central Railway has announced 332 Summer Special train services to accommodate the extra rush. These trains will operate on routes including Mumbai–Nagpur, Mumbai–Karmali, Mumbai–Thiruvananthapuram, Pune–Nagpur, and Daund–Kalaburagi.
The Daund–Kalaburagi service will be an unreserved special train, while all other special trains will run with special charges.
Bookings for these special trains will open on March 24, 2025, at all computerized reservation centers and online at www.irctc.co.in, as per Central Railway.
The details are as under:
Train number 02139, a bi-weekly special, will depart from CSMT at 12:20 AM every Tuesday and Sunday from April 6, 2025, to June 29, 2025, arriving in Nagpur at 3:30 PM the same day. On the return journey, train number 02140 will leave Nagpur at 8:00 PM every Tuesday and Sunday during the same period, reaching CSMT at 1:30 PM the next day. The train will make 25 trips in each direction and will comprise one AC-2 Tier, five AC-3 Tier, ten Sleeper Class, four General Second Class, and two General Second Class cum Guard’s brake vans. It will halt at Dadar (only for 02139), Thane, Kalyan, Igatpuri (only for 02140), Nashik Road, Manmad, Jalgaon, Bhusaval, Malkapur, Shegaon, Akola, Murtizapur, Badnera, Dhamangaon, and Wardha.
Train number 01151, another bi-weekly special, will leave CSMT at 12:20 AM every Thursday from April 10, 2025, to June 6, 2025, arriving in Karmali at 3:30 PM the same day. In the return direction, train number 01152 will depart Karmali at 2:15 PM every Thursday from April 10, 2025, to June 5, 2025, reaching CSMT at 3:45 AM the next day. This train will make nine trips in each direction, with a composition of one AC-2 Tier, five AC-3 Tier, ten Sleeper Class, four General Second Class, and two General Second Class cum Guard’s brake vans. It will halt at Dadar, Thane, Panvel, Pen, Roha, Mangaon, Khed, Chiplun, Sangameshwar Road, Ratnagiri, Adavali, Vilavade, Rajapur Road, Vaibhavwadi Road, Kankavali, Sindhudurg, Kudal, Sawantwadi Road, and Thivim.
Train number 01129, a weekly special, will depart from Lokmanya Tilak Terminus (LTT) at 10:15 PM every Thursday from April 10 to June 5, 2025, arriving in Karmali at 12:00 AM the next day. The return train, number 01130, will leave Karmali at 2:30 PM every Friday from April 11, 2025, to June 6, 2025, reaching LTT at 4:05 AM the next day. This service will run nine times in each direction with a composition of one First AC, two AC-2 Tier, six AC-3 Tier, eight Sleeper Class, two Generator Cars, and one Pantry Car (locked). It will halt at Thane, Panvel, Pen, Roha, Mangaon, Veer, Khed, Chiplun, Sangameshwar Road, Ratnagiri, Adavali, Vilavade, Rajapur Road, Vaibhavwadi Road, Nandgaon Road, Kankavali, Sindhudurg, Kudal, Sawantwadi Road, and Thivim.
According to Central Railway, train number 01063, a weekly special, will leave LTT at 4:00 PM every Thursday from April 3, 2025, to May 29, 2025, arriving in Thiruvananthapuram North at 10:45 PM the next day. The return train, number 01064, will depart Thiruvananthapuram North at 4:20 PM every Saturday from April 5, 2025, to May 31, 2025, reaching LTT at 12:45 AM on the third day. This train will make nine trips in each direction, featuring one AC-2 Tier, six AC-3 Tier, nine Sleeper Class, four General Second Class, one General Second Class cum Guard’s brake van, and one Generator Car. It will halt at Thane, Panvel, Pen, Roha, Khed, Chiplun, Sangameshwar Road, Ratnagiri, Kankavali, Sindhudurg, Kudal, Sawantwadi Road, Thivim, Karmali, Madgaon Jn, Karwar, Gokarna Road, Kumta, Murdeshwar, Bhatkal, Mookambika Road Byndoor, Kundapura, Udupi, Suratkal, Mangaluru Jn, Kasaragod, Kannur, Calicut, Tirur, Shoranur, Thrissur, Ernakulam Town, Kottayam, Changanaseri, Tiruvalla, Chengannur, Mavelikara, Kayankulam, and Kollam.
Train number 01469, an AC weekly superfast special, will leave Pune at 3:50 PM every Tuesday from April 8, 2025, to June 24, 2025, arriving in Nagpur at 6:30 AM the next day. The return train, number 01470, will depart Nagpur at 8:00 AM every Wednesday from April 9, 2025, to June 25, 2025, reaching Pune at 11:30 PM the same day. This train will run 12 times in each direction with a composition of three AC-2 Tier, 15 AC-3 Tier, one General Second Class cum Guard’s brake van, and one Generator Van. It will halt at Uruli, Daund Chord Line, Ahmednagar, Belapur, Kopergaon, Manmad, Jalgaon, Bhusaval, Malkapur, Shegaon, Akola, Badnera, Dhamangaon, and Wardha.
Train number 01467, a weekly superfast special, will leave Pune at 3:50 PM every Wednesday from April 9, 2025, to June 25, 2025, reaching Nagpur at 6:30 AM the next day. The return train, number 01468, will depart Nagpur at 8:00 AM every Thursday from April 10, 2025, to June 26, 2025, reaching Pune at 11:30 PM the same day. This service will run 12 times in each direction with a composition of one First AC, one AC-2 Tier, two AC-3 Tier, five Sleeper Class, six General Second Class, and two General Second Class cum Guard’s brake vans, halting at the same stations as 01469/01470.
Train number 01421 will be an unreserved special, departing from Daund at 5:00 AM five days a week (except Thursdays and Sundays) from April 5, 2025, to July 2, 2025, reaching Kalaburagi at 11:20 AM the same day. The return train, number 01422, will leave Kalaburagi at 4:10 AM five days a week (except Thursdays and Sundays) from April 5, 2025, to July 2, 2025, arriving in Daund at 10:20 PM the same day. It will operate 64 times in each direction with a composition of ten General Second Class and two General Second Class cum Guard’s brake vans.
Train number 01425, another unreserved special, will leave Daund at 5:00 AM every Thursday and Sunday from April 3, 2025, to June 29, 2025, arriving in Kalaburagi at 11:20 AM the same day. The return train, number 01426, will depart Kalaburagi at 8:30 PM every Thursday and Sunday from April 3, 2025, to June 29, 2025, reaching Daund at 2:30 AM the next day. This train will run 26 times in each direction with the same composition and will halt at Bhigwan, Parewadi, Jeur, Kem, Kurduwadi, Madha, Mohol, Solapur, Tikekarwadi, Hotgi, Akalkot Road, Boroti, Dudhani, and Ganagapur.
Reservations for special trains 02139, 02140, 01151, 01152, 01129, 01130, 01063, 01469, 01470, 01467, and 01468 will open on March 24, 2025, at all computerized reservation centers and on www.irctc.co.in.
