Padma has said about her stepfather that one day when I woke up in the morning I saw my stepfather sleeping on my bed.
My father's hand was on my undergarment. I told my mother about it but she refused to tell anyone.
She arrived in India a few days after this incident.
Padma was married to famous novelist Salman Rushdie in 2004 But this marriage did not last long.
