There has been so much confusion about diet lately that it's a matter of who to listen to and who not to listen to. However, one thing all dietitians agree on is eating before sunset. This is also confirmed by Dharma Shastra.
First reason: Eating before sunset keeps digestion in check. The food consumed is properly digested by the next morning. During this period food gets enough time to digest. On the other hand, eating late and going to bed early leads to undigested food and fat instead of being converted into energy.
Another reason: Eating before sunset prevents many types of diseases. Late dinner is not digested and causes various diseases in the body.
Third reason: After sunset, micro-organisms grow in the atmosphere due to lack of sunlight. Those bacteria enter the food and cause many diseases. Our body also feels the inertia in the environment, but ignoring it, we eat and invite diseases.
Fourth reason: After sunset many changes take place in nature. Animals and birds also eat and sleep before sunset. Nature influences our body, the more we adapt to nature, the healthier we will be. So it is convenient to adopt this routine.
