Shortness of breath is a major symptom of a heart attack. Heart attacks often occur between both men and women up to 6 months before they occur. This is usually a warning sign of a medical condition. It looks like you are not getting enough air, dizziness and shortness of breath.

Researchers in India say hair patterns like baldness are linked to a fivefold increase in heart disease in younger men. This could apply to women, too.

Men and women have chest pain in different intensities and forms. In men, this symptom is the most important early sign of having a heart attack that should not be ignored. On the other hand, it affects only 30 per cent of women.

Insomnia is also associated with an increased risk of heart attack or stroke, which is more common among women. Anxiety and or stress is a big reason behind insomnia. Symptoms include difficulty starting to sleep, difficulty maintaining sleep, and waking up early in the morning.

Abnormal fatigue is a major symptom of a heart attack. Women are more likely to have these types of symptoms than men. Physical or mental activity does not cause fatigue. This symptom is quite obvious which is ignored.
