Take these important majors after a dog bite

A dog bite on a human can be very dangerous and no one should ignore it. If someone does they can be the victim of rabies which could further cause hydrophobia. It is a viral zoonotic infection spread from animals. This leads to an infection like encephalitis, which certainly cannot be treated if you delay the treatment.

According to Ghaziabad-based Modern Dog Clinic doctor Vikram Singh Verma, you should do these three things after the dog bite, if necessary, the victim should be given immediate medical help.

1) Do not tie a cloth on the cut wound keep it open.2) Wash the wound area with soap.3) See a doctor within 24 hours and take the injection prescribed by the doctor.

If possible find out if the dog who has bitten someone has rabies or not. Because if a dog with rabies could cause serious problem to you.

Symptoms of Rabies in Dogs - When the dog gets into the habit of snarling and biting anyone without a reason it's a sign of rabies.

If you haven't been bitten by a dog with rabies, your doctor may recommend vaccines to treat you. Getting vaccinated for minor scratches is most effective. If you get the deep bite anti-rabies immunoglobulin is necessary.

If a pet dog has bitten then three vaccinations are required. That is, the first vaccine a day after the dog bite, the second three days later, and the third seven days later. If bitten by a street dog, you will need to have five to seven vaccinations within a week after the third vaccine.
