The tannins present in teabags can provide great relief from toothache. Teabags such as mint tea contain menthol, which has numbing properties that can be used to cool and numb pain.

Ajwain and mint can help reduce pain and numbness. Tea tree oil has antibacterial and antibiotic properties that prevent infection. Peppermint oil can also be used to help ease toothache.

Asafoetida with lemon juice or oil is a common remedy. Mix asafoetida spice with half a teaspoon of warm lemon juice or lemon oil and apply it on the affected tooth every 20 minutes for 1 hour until the pain subsides.
