He has also participated in BBC MasterChef Professionals. Suresh Pillai is a famous celebrity chef and is known for bringing the taste of the best of Kerala cuisine to people all over the world.

Suresh Pillai owns several restaurants by now and has a large number of social media followers who appreciate his delicious cuisine. He had to work hard to achieve success.

Suresh did many works, which people don't know about. shared the inspiring story of the struggle on his Twitter account, where he posted old photos of how he used to work as a catering service boy at a wedding event.

His tweet read, 'This 18-year-old catering service boy is the same Chef Pillai you know today, serving food at an unknown wedding ceremony.' Reminisced about his childhood and how he was destined to become a 'professional'.

'I started my first 'business' in sixth or seventh grade. We had a big Kambili Moosu/ Kambili Naranga (pomelo) tree in our house and it was my childhood favorite fruit. I loved it so much that I used to get up at 5am and have one or two for breakfast.'

'Soon, it became my primary source of pocket money. I used to cut the fruit and sell it in the market for 25 paise per piece or 4-5 pieces for one rupee. At that time I used to feel proud of myself when I showed my friends one or two rupee notes!' It has been said.

Like a businessman, he has also sold roasted peanuts for temple festivals. "When I was young I was a hotel waiter, a cleaner in a temple canteen and apart from that I was a catering boy," he said.

'Whatever I am today, I got from my past experiences.' Suresh Pillai has also said that keep trying, you will get success. Many people are getting inspiration from this journey.

Pillai worked as chef de partie, sous-chef, and chef de cuisine at various restaurants in London for 14 years.

In 2017, he contested in the British reality TV show MasterChef: The Professionals.

He returned to India to become the corporate chef and culinary director of The Raviz and later started his own restaurant chain branded Restaurant Chef Pillai.
