This temple is located in Lakhamandal, Uttarakhand, the place is surrounded by caves and ruins of ancient temples of Lord Mahadev.

While excavating here, the Antiquities Department came across various sizes and types of Shivlingas. The temple is located near a place called Barnigad on the bank of river Yamuna.

It is said that if a dead body is placed in front of the gatekeeper in the temple, the temple priest sprinkles holy water on the body and the dead person is revived for a while.

When he remembers the name of the Lord after coming to life, he is given Ganga water. After drinking this Ganga water, the body goes back to the dead state.

Meanwhile, no one knows or can say what is the real secret of this amazing event. Beyond this temple are two gatekeepers, one of whom has a broken arm, exactly why is also a mystery.
